Preparing for Graduate Success—Language, Culture, and Community at the University of Michigan is a four-week online course designed to help you hit the ground running in your academic program this fall.

This course prepares you to succeed in your U-M graduate studies by introducing you to the academic language of graduate study and research in the U.S., as well as campus culture both in and outside the classroom. You will meet some important people and departments around U-M who provide support for international graduate students. Every step of the way you will learn some specific language skills you need to achieve your academic, scholarly, and professional goals.

For information about on-campus language and academic support, please make an appointment to meet with an ELI advisor for a consultation when you arrive in Ann Arbor.
